Drivers & location

No location updates? Start here

A short checklist for missing, old or conflicting GPS data.

Reviewed · 4 steps
  1. Check lifecycle and consent

Confirm the tracking is active and has not ended. Check whether the driver accepted location sharing. Active tracking does not override the driver’s consent or device permissions.

  2. Check the affected source

For Web: keep the page in the foreground and check location permission and connectivity. For App: check the invited account, OS location access and battery restrictions. For ELD: verify provider connection, unit number, VIN and provider sample time.

  3. Compare recorded and received evidence

A local driver sample, an ELD credential verification and a broker-visible GPS record are different signals. Review source rows and events instead of assuming that any one success means live reporting.

  4. Escalate with useful context

Send support the Tracking ID, affected source, last recorded time with timezone, and the visible error. Redact tokens, phone numbers and API keys from screenshots. Do not resend invitations or change trucks repeatedly as a test.
