Read GPS sources and location warnings

Distinguish the driver device from the assigned vehicle and read location confidence.

Reviewed · 4 steps
  1. Identify each marker

In Load visibility, ELD uses a purple vehicle marker. Driver web uses an orange person marker and Driver App uses a blue person marker. Sources and driver slots can have separate latest locations.

  2. Open a marker

Select a marker to read the source, sample time and available location details. In tracking details, select pickup or destination markers to review stop information. Use Show full route when available to restore the route view.

  3. Compare time before distance

A large distance between sources may mean an incorrect truck assignment, a different driver device, or samples taken at different times. An old-data warning cannot confirm a current conflict. Verify fresh timestamps and the selected truck.

  4. Check location confidence

Each load shows a location confidence badge: High, Medium or Low. Select it to see the reasons, such as a mock-location app on the phone, impossible speed, or ELD and phone far apart. On the map, a dashed red line marks an implausible jump and red markers mark flagged reports. At Low, verify the truck's position with the carrier before relying on the map. A VPN alone does not lower the rating.
