Carriers & ELD

Connect ELD and assign the correct truck

A verified API connection and an assigned vehicle are both required.

Reviewed · 4 steps
  1. Prepare authorized credentials

Use credentials authorized by the carrier for the supported ELD provider. Review the provider selected in the connection form. Do not paste API keys into notes, emails or support screenshots.

  2. Complete the carrier connection

Use the carrier ELD setup flow or the ELD connection card in tracking details. Follow the available credential verification steps. A stored active connection means credentials are on file, not that fresh GPS is guaranteed.

  3. Assign the truck

Select the vehicle unit number and verify its VIN. Review the current and selected vehicles in the confirmation dialog before assigning. Changing the truck changes the ELD source for the tracking.

  4. Check the original GPS time

Inspect the ELD source row and the last known provider location, when shown. If the provider timestamp is old, the truck may not have a newer fix even though the API connection succeeds.
